Possibly Scott Listing Error. Matching values to the sheet Sc# 1977 "ancient carriages" I have it as "Vintage Automobiles" with CTO markings 1974 If they are listed in any other catalogue, please advise. |

Well, Rod, the status of the Guinea Ecuatorial stamps of this era is (being nice!) dubtful. The Spanish Filabo catalog, don't even mention the issues between 1972 and 1979. My 1981 Y&T catalog, just names the issues from 1972 to 1979, while it gives illustrations of the 1968/71 and 1979 issues. |

@Rod... Michel lists the year of issue as 1977 too. Michel #1095-1110.

Thank you very much gentlemen, in replying. That is very helpful.
1. Either the cancelling stamp was used out of date (entirely believable) or "Ancient Carriages" refer to another set.
I acknowledge your caution with respect to genuine postal use. Thank you. I collect without discrimination. Some kid somewhere may find these cars fascinating, and encourage him / her into the hobby. If it exists, I collect it, Though appreciate your warnings.

The Y&T data: face values and number of stamps, agree with what you can see on the sheet that you uploaded. So, the mistake must be on the postmark.
I 100% agree with your views. I, myself have the sheets issued in 1974 in connection to Futbol Club Barcelona 75th aniversary on my album. |

Life is like a juicy apple, when we agree, and learn to accept others point of view, if not harmful.
Nice work Cursus. Long since ran out of words, for your Catalan tour de force.

Thank you Rod. I knew, the "gold foil" issues. But, actually, I've never bothered to buy them; it seems, that there's always something more attractive to spend the money on. As for the sheets that I've uploaded, I bought them for a triffle (less than 1€ alltogether) many years ago. I remember that, for the first one I paid 25 pta (0.15 €) circa 1995. Which, even then, was next to nothing. |

Rod, the first flower set is very attractive, thanks for sharing. I don't have a lot but here is a page from my collection. Stamps show women from Greek mythology, all from paintings by Peter Paul Rubens: |
