Begins with a "F" or an "E"? and ends with an "ON" ?
Lower CDS "Bury St. Edmunds SFK" (Suffolk)

Hi Rod,

Your first Bury St Edmonds postmark looks as though it could be Flempton.

Bravo Nigel, Extraordinary.
(You probably play Quidditch well, also)

FYI
"Bradford on Tone. Taunton Som? " Somerset
The name Taunton came down from "Tone Town" from the Tone River.

Allan,
I may have asked before,
I'd like to ID a Triangle Pmk with 152 inside it. (I think)

Do you have those in your database? if so, where do I find them?
Thanks.

"152" would be Burton-on-Trent
My own postmark with "F25" which is Llanfairpwllgwyngll and pre-dates the tourist version of the town name with the added "gogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch"... but it is still understandable that F25 was used

I remember the railway station at what the locals call Llanfair P G where the full name of the town ran from one end of the platform to the other. The station has been extended into a tourist trap where, in a land of plentiful Welsh sheep, the main store specialized in Scottish woollen sweaters.
