Hello all. I'm a new member to this forum. I've been interested in stamp for some time and as of late I've been focusing on World Air Mail stamps. I recently purchased three albums from my local stamp shop. They are from K. Lissiuk Philatelic Co. I've been looking for additional pages to expand but no luck.
I've been looking into the history of this company/person but I can't seem to find much info. Anyone out there have some information that they would like to share?
Thanks

Hi Brett, Welcome to the forum! I collect World Air Mails too. I only collect classic airmails up to 1945 or 1950 in some cases. Sorry, I have not heard of K. Lissiuk Philatelic Co., and I suspect you will have a very hard time finding additional pages for it. I make my own pages (from Steiner pages as a starting point). See an example below of one of my pages. |

Brett,
Wow, that's a neat-looking album! Not to sound too negative, but I seriously doubt you will be able to find blank pages for that.
You say its spring back? You might want to consider trying to make your own blank pages with matching border. I've been able to piece together blank pages with the Scott International and Scott Specialty borders using PowerPoint so it might be doable. Then you can try to find some cream-colored paper to match to print the pages, then stick them in your spring back. Of course the complicating factor is the pages will need to be larger than the standard 8.5 x 11 inch.
Does your album only go up to the 1930s and you need to add blank pages to go further?

Hi Chris. Ya I'm really happy with the albums (3) that I bought. There are quit a few stamps in them and I'm looking forward to completing the pages I have. Two things I see. 1) It only goes up to the neighborhood of 1935.. 2) there are countries that I'd like to add that are not in the pages.
The album contains a lot of stamps from central and south America. I'd like to add British and French colonial...
I'm happy to create new pages. Make the 8 1/2 x 11 and attach them to a sheet that is close to the album size. I'm wondering if pages from other makers would be close. I'm still looking into my options. |

The tooled cover and graphics are slick. You will need to measure the pages and then go on a hunt. The challenge is to find the various album manufacturers page specifications to see what might match closest. You may find some springback pages that come close enough dimensionally but will probably not be able to match the color of the aged pages you currently have. You might start with SG pages. Post the dimensions here and I am sure the rest of us will check our old/extra stock. Please let the community know if you find something. Don |

Thanks everyone for your replies. :-) Lucky for me I have a great stamp shop near by... If any of you ever get to the Seattle area I really recommend them... Aurora Stamp. Anyway he had a stack of unused SAFE pages that are going to work out great. Next step is to disassembly the albums and get it filled! |

Here's what I'd do: Remove one page and take it to a print shop. Ask them if they can duplicate it close to the same paper weight (thickness), color, and size. A good print shop can do this. It might not be as cheap as buying blank pages (not sure) but finding the right size, color, etc. of blank pages make be difficult -- though perhaps not impossible.
As for computer technology, it might be possible to "scan" a blank page so you could copy that border, then use that to make new blank pages that match. For that, you'll need a clever print shop -- or learn to do it yourself, if you can.
What beautiful albums! Good luck having pages made, or finding pages, for them. |
