Is it me, this stamp looks like a copy or possibly a proof?

Look at his other listings, several 'Reproductions'. He is also selling a full sheet of the 24 cent Jenny.

My hink meter is going off on his stuff. Not that I could afford the linked to lot but just curious - whaddya think?

Modern forgery. Check the Scott Catalog for details regarding small design differences between the original 1847 issue and the US Government reproductions of 1875.

I see he wants to arrange payments off-line and outside of ebay. "Payment method to be arranged from ebay. Call us at 540-323-7473 for our email address or send us your telephone number if within the United States and we can make payment arrangements by email. Any questions please let us know."

Interesting to read his feedback. Check out his followers also. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...backAsSeller

This is a re-listing by the seller. I contacted him through E-Bay several weeks ago and suggested to him that his stamp was most likely a plate proof and not the issued stamp. He suggested that I did not know anything and that his listing was correct. BUYER BEWARE.

His feedback is odd. I noted some of what look like false positives, from BUYERS, who does that? Just using common sense, why would anyone trust a seller who openly sells reproductions when it comes to buying high grade scarce material?

PS, upon reading through several pages of feedback I think he does shill bidding. Lots of supposed buyers saying stuff like 'Best seller on ebay', etc.
