I found this on wikipedia and very helpful to understand my collecting interest since the countries are scattered in Scott.

My pages are organized in these groups: Straits, Malaya, Malaysia, then all the States no what entity they were in (federated, federated, union, etc) during the entire time then Singapore.

Scott puts Sarawak, Singapore, and Straits in the S book and Malaya, etc are in the M book - not collector friendly. I suspect anyone collecting Sarawak or Straits would like collect Malaya.

I too collect Malay sort of.I am building a collection of Malay Tigers ,starting with the various states and then the Federated States.
I am using Bill Steiner's pages for my collection ,but in the Federated states he is very limited take the 1901 series he has spaces for the basic eight stamps.
Look in Stanley Gibbons commonwealth catalogue it lists twenty two ,so I am making my own pages for these stamps.

I have started using Steiner pages and agree that they are incomplete and looking to create my own too. My other complaint with Steiner is that if you use a black mount (what I have always used) it covers the border around the stamp. I am trying to decide to go with modified Steiner pages and clean mounts or do my own. However. it is too time consuming to do all new pages.
