I was just taking a look through some stamps a friend gave to me to possibly sell and I came across this one. Looks super old so I figured I would google it. Anyone know anything about it? Its in pretty rough shape, but looks like it could be interesting.

Akilduff, welcome to the forum. I am afraid there is not much we can tell from your picture - it is too small. A high resolution scan would be much better,

Looking at your higher resolution scan, I do not see any evidence of a grill on your one cent stamp. Perhaps you could show a scan of the reverse. Why do you think that your stamp might be the 1¢ "Z" grill? Keep in mind that design comes in several different formats with the most common being Scott 63 the same design without any grill.
