Fun thread. Some nice rare items, like perf 99R2, and I especially like the Plate 11 #20. That Boston June 24 cover is ex-txstamp, as I had it for around 15 years. A very very neat item. I have a whole story about that cover and plate position that I can put people to sleep with at some point.

Anyway, in the interest of rare double transfers, here is perf 10R4. Not a great copy, but legit and ex-Neinken. Position 10R was clearly the first position entered on plate 4, and a double transfer is evident there. The perf ones are quite tough but the imperf 10R4 is one of the great 1c double transfer rarities. Tough item.

Amazing that Neinken states he has never seen an imperforate example of 10R4 except for one pair 9-10R4. I guess that leaves all of us treasure hunting when looking at Scott 7s. Must be a few out there! I'll keep looking! The DT (in US POSTAGE) is kind of vague, but nonetheless, quite a rarity.

For many years, that single 9-10R4 imperf pair was the only one I knew about as well. Another showed up deep in, I think, a Kelleher sale a few years back. So there are 2. Also a few singles here and there. Maybe 4 singles that I've seen. I agree - I'm sure there are more - and definitely something to keep your eyes open for.

I am familiar with Doporto certs for the 1c Franklins.

Is there an option for plating the three cent stamp?

rlmstamps2012, my novice question would be, "why would one need a cert for a DT on a Three Cent stamp?"
They seem self evident to me.

Not regarding DT's?

Certain positions seem to speak for themselves!

I am only only curious if there is a service for this?
