I came across a forgotten document buried in my collection, begging to be scanned and posted on this forum. This is an 1865 quit claim deed from the Territory of Colorado, during the Pike's Peak gold rush. If I'm not mistaken, it has a R95 $10 Mortgage revenue and a R98 imperf $20 Conveyance. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know what type of paper these are on.

This document seems interesting enough that I would never consider removing the stamps. But I'm curious to know whether having revenues like this on their original document would increase their value or not.

Georgeous piece. I do not know a thing about revenues, but they are among the most beautiful of all stamps. And your piece looks stellar to me. And one thing I do know - yes, it is worth more on an original piece!

ALWAYS leave revenues on their original document, unless it is so decrepit and tattered that it runs the risk of destabilizing the stamps. Very nice.
