The stamp is from Hungary. In the Scott catalog, it will either be Hungary #23 or #36 -- you will need to check watermark and perfs to determine which one and also minor varieties.

These KRAJCZAR black numeral actually have 2 main categories " Stereotype (1888) and Electrotype ( 1889-1899), witch are not listed in Scott, and then the Electrotype are divided according to their watermark and perforations. If you can find one where you can see clearly the "IV" or the 4 point star in the watermark, it has great value

Actually Scott list only 40% of the KRAJCZAR serie, It's a very bad catalogue for Hungarian stamps.

KRAJCZAR is the hungarian name of the "Crown of Stephen and letter" series

it's a IV not a VI , the wateramrk is of course reverse from the back

They are no 12 x 12 , it's probably 12 x 11¾ , Scott is wrong with the 12 x 11½ ( all true one exist) . and all the 2 kr 12 x 11¾ have no value, especially in such poor condition. it'S the 11½ X 11½ that have more value
