- In the Uncut Press Sheet, the same pane as the one in the Prestige Booklet, but unperforated.
What I really meant was the souvenir sheets are not cut from the pane unless you do it yourself. That way you can make the souvenir sheet a different size from the one in the Prestige booklet. The stamps within the pane are perforated as in the Prestige booklet |

Just received my copy of Details TODAY!
I think the entire two-year issue is inappropriate. It was an American-made show with a few Canadian actors. Of the nine actors portrayed on the stamps, only three are Canadian. There are five Americans and one Brit.
What's next? The Lone Ranger because Tonto was Canadian?
PS. I hope William Shatner behaves himself for the next few decades. Can you imagine if the US Postal Service had commemorated Bill Cosby? |

There IS a hidden "Canada 150" on the Borg stamp. Thanks to RH for cluing me in on it. There is also a hidden date, see below. The "Captains" stamps have the "Canada 150" in the tagging, on the top center. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the Prestige Booklet being sold for less than face value? I count $22.25 in face value against a price of $21.95.
5 x .85 (permanent) 2 x 1.00 2 x 1.20 2 x 1.80 2 x 2.50 1 x 5.00

Much praise for anything and everything Canada Post can do to keep it profitable, and creating collectible stamps. They are great for the hobby - despite what mint postage costs today. |

Canadian Stamp News reporter Jesse Robitaille quotes Jim Phillips, Canada Post Director of Stamp Services, as saying that there will be a third year in the Star Trek Series. (CSN Vol.42, No.2 May 16) He says further that these stamps help "to pay the bills". Like I said before, the link to Canada will be very tenuous, I fear. |

What?! Wasn't everyone at the Trajan Media's National Postage Stamp and Coin Show where Mr. Phillips spoke?
He is further quoted as saying, "You're running a business, and some of those other ones, the stamp collectors alone can't keep them going." I think that means the great interest in Star Trek brings in a lot of extra cash. They issued 350,000 booklets this time as opposed to, say, the opera issue which was 130,000. One bright spot, he said they were reducing the number of issues from 76 this year to 50+ next year.
PS. I think all Canadian stamp collectors should subscribe to CSN - to keep it alive and well. ($45.75 / year) |
