Hi all just bought these stamps off ebay but I can't find the real value of them anywhere. I payed about £7, so I hope I've made a good buy. Regards, Tom.

£7 is an OK price for these, they're not the cheapest of sets.

The illustrations are not far from some of the things that did happen. There are accounts of people welcoming the Soviets in the belief that they were going to fight the Nazis.

They were up to $10 in 2015 Scott; agreed they are not the easiest to find. The Soviet Union and WWII - or the Great Patriotic War, as they call it - is a favourite area of mine. Here's my display of this set...

Very nice indeed, MichaelPat. I have a small collection of "Polonica", that is, stamps from other countries relating to Poland & this is one of those sets that's been on the back-burner to obtain but I never seem to get round to it.
