Thanks for your comment about my presentation, it takes a lot of work, but at the end of the day it all comes together.

It is good to know my spares had found a caring new home. I'm thinking about going through my collection for other duplicates, triplicates etc and printing out a list.

Rob

STAMPS ACCIDENTALLY OMITTED FROM PAGES

I have noticed once I completed the QE II pre-decimal collection I had left out a few stamps, such as the complete set of 2/6d aborigines, the 1/6d Hermes between two hemispheres of the earth, the 1956 fauna etc. The page will showcase the missing stamps, along with earlier stamps of the same design already posted to show completeness in the sets. The omitted stamps are in italic bold.

ACSC 265A) 1952. Aborigine. 2/6d. Perforation 14½ x 15. Sideways C of A watermark. Sepia
ACSC 265B) 1952. Aboriginal. 2/6d. Perforation 14½ x 15. Sideways C of A watermark. Blackish-Brown
ACSC 266A) 1957. Aboriginal. 2/6d. Perforation 14½ x 15. No watermark. Sepia
ACSC 266B) 1957. Aboriginal. 2/6d. Perforation 14½ x 15. No watermark. Blackish-Brown
ACSC 267A) 1965. Aboriginal. 2/6d (Emergency issue). Perforation 14½ x 15. No watermark. Sepia
ACSC 267B) 1965. Aboriginal. 2/6d (Emergency issue). Perforation 14½ x 15. No watermark. Blackish-Brown (Unlisted).

The supply of 2/6d Scarlet Robin stamps issued on April 26, 1965 proved insufficient to last until decimal currency, and a reprint was not practical due to the heavy use of the photogravure for the forthcoming decimal issues. To fill the gap, a new printing of the 2/6d Aborigine was released. As far as is known, it was distributed to post offices only in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania. The emergency printing was in a distinctive light sepia-brown shade on the whiter paper which had been used for the August 1964 printing. The emergency issue was released to the public in October 1965, the first decimal stamps were released on St. Valentine's Day, February 14, 1966; the emergency stamp was removed from sale 4 months after its release.

ACSC 161) 1934. Hermes with Hemispheres. 1/6. Perforation 11. No watermark. Dull Violet
ACSC 162) 1937. Hermes. 1/6d. Perforation 13½ x 14. Thick paper. C of A watermark. Dull Claret
ACSC 163) 1948. Hermes. 1/6d. Perforation 13½ x 14. Thin paper. C of A watermark. Dull Claret

ACSC 204A) 1956. Kookaburra. 6d. Perforation 15 x 14. No watermark. Brown
ACSC 207) 1956. Platypus. 9d. Perforation 14 x 15. No watermark. Sepia
ACSC 210) 1956. Lyrebird. 1/-. Perforation 15 x 14. No watermark. Dull Green

ACSC 261A) 1949. Hermes & Globe. 1/6d. Perforation 14½ x 15. Sideways C of A watermark. Grey-Black
ACSC 261B) 1949. Hermes & Globe. 1/6d. Perforation 14½ x 15. Sideways C of A watermark. Black
ACSC 262) 1956. Hermes & Globe. 1/6d. Perforation 14½ x 15. No watermark. Pale Grey-Black

ACSC 263A) 1948. Aboriginal Art. 2/-. Perforation 14½ x 15. Sideways C of A watermark. Dark Chocolate
ACSC 263a) 1948. Aboriginal Art. 2/-. Perforation 14½ x 15. Sideways C of A watermark. Thin paper. Chocolate
ACSC 263a) 1948. Aboriginal Art. 2/-. Perforation 14½ x 15. Sideways C of A watermark.Thin paper (Reverse)

Hi stamps73

Thanks for the comment. There is more to upload, I have every QE II stamp from 1953 - 2017; the reason why I have stalled uploading more, at the moment I ran out of the ACSC (Australian Commonwealth Specialists' Catalogue), when I buy the remainder 2 books "Decimals II 1975-1991" & "Decimals III 1992-2001", they only go to 2001; I will have to use the Stanley Gibbons Catalogue, which will be a little difficult as it doesn't list certain shades, plates or varieties.

There is still approximately 2,000 stamps to upload.

Rob

--- Bumping this thread of Rob's fantastic collection. ---

Rob showed his J1 1/2d BCOF block of four back in 2017 with one stamp showing the "semi-colon before J of Japan" roller flaw error in the overprint on PAGE 3. I responded with an image of the same (or very similar) error on a used J5 1/- denomination. At that time this flaw was not listed in ACSC. It would be appreciated if someone with a more recent copy of the ACSC (mine is 2015) can advise whether it has since been added and what CV is listed. Here is the image I provided back in 2017.
