My father recently passed away and my brother and I have inherited my Great Aunts collections. I don't think we have anything amazing, but we just don't know, and in my research this seems like a good place to find out. I am uploading this one first, it was on a newspaper from Wayne NY dated Dec. 24 1852 and this stamp is on it. Can anyone tell me what I have and I know it is in rough shape but still looks good I think for its age. Thanks it advance for any help. I also have H.E Harris collections stamps in original packaging of various things like 1937 Japan Mt. Fuji Sacred Shrine and Honor-Bilt 5 Coronation stamps from great Britain and colonies in original packaging.

Hello, and welcome. I'm afraid that this one belongs in the bin, as, unfortunately, it's so badly damaged as to be worthless. Perhaps you could upload some scans of some of the other material.

hi; If that was mine,I would try to iron out all the folds in the newspaper, then carefully repair the stamp, then frame the whole newspaper. It could always interest someone.
