I have many postal envelopes that have come into my hands that are so delicately old. Their postmarked from the 1800s. So far I have my first roadblock in I am unable to find the design on the envelope that I'm about to show. Your help is appreciated. Second, question is there a particular location I can go specific to postal cards/envelope stamps with their worth.

Admins will move your post to the "back of book" section (that's where it goes)..
That being said, I think this is postmarked 1862. And I think(based on my 2004 Scotts catalog that this is a U13 design, with a Scott # of either U34, U35 or U36 (depends on paper color). For a good reference and way to figure out what design you have use http://dubinweb.com/envelopes.html. It's a good start (good for designs, no values, and it doesn't go into all the different die variables).

As for value, that depends on many variables. Condition is key, and usage is important.
