Hi,

Can anyone help me with the following questions on the attached sheet

1. I am not finding this issue in the Michel catalogue. The cancellations are from 1972. And yes there are military uniform issues in Ajman in 1972, but looking in my old Michel I cannt match the shown issue with the catalogue pictures. So can anyone tell me Michel or Scott numbers ?

2. One of the stamps in blackened. I have seen this more than once. Can anyone shed light on the story about this ?

Thanks

In a nutshell, Bamra1 pointed out that the obliterated stamp is for a Vietnamese uniform. However, a North Vietnamese uniform was printed, so it was obliterated for the sake of sales to the US. The set also exists in green, without the obliteration.

Bamra1 provides a comprehensive table showing the catalog numbers and uniform description/position.
