Ron, don't worry, I will check my SG as soon I arrive at home and with all the purchase I did, I will go deep in that series, I even purchase a full sheet to see the variation on it. This is why I prefer collect series instead of countries, what is the purpose to put stamps in an album if you don't get knowledge about them ......if you collect a full country, you always stuck with a lot of stamps you don't. Saying that, I will not trash my Scott Int. lol

Rod , I don't get it, I do have the Stanley Gibbons Stamp Catalogue Commonwealth & British Empire Stamps 1840-1952 - 2004 Edition and they do list only the Red and Black for 1938. In the bottom of the pic they show the a and b , but it's for the perf. No mention of the 1940 edition like in Michel .

EDIT : well seem it's a version not very complete.

Enough is enough, I just ordered the 4th edition ( 2016 and better be more complete than the one I have ) of SG and also the "Bermuda Specialised Stamp Catalogue Stamps and Postal History 1812-1970"

here the comment about the specialized book , it's make me worry that SG is not really colplete...lol ;

"This is an absolute must if you are a serious Bermuda collector – the only drawback is you'll find out how limited your current collection is!"

Stanley Gibbons is a wicked Mistress, that's why I divorced her, and went to Scott.
I make brief visits for her counsel on specialised items, but otherwise avoid her pernickety ways. (Typical British eccentricity)

Scott is not perfect, but I enjoy stamp collecting using her.

Please post your results, when the catalogues arrive. (esp if you have perforation varieties)

Look at this seller, make is image look rose-red, describe the stamp at rose-red varity 110,

once arrival, I scan it ( middle ) and put his scan at right , we can see my scan is same shade as a red at left

so the one in middle and right are the same stamp just 2 different scan . this guy is a real shame for ebay.
