I was cleaning out a magazine rack today and ran across the catalog I'd ordered these from. I placed the order on the website but got the information, stock #s etc from the brochure.

Well guess what- there is NOTHING at all in that listing about signing on for supplements. They apparently are doing that now as in the image Area66 posted but there was not a word about that in the listing I ordered from.

I still have had no response to the message sent late last week.

I just ordered from Lighthouse Canada ( they sell directly now,it's new ) an Album today ( Austria ) , I pay near twice what Nordfrim charge. As I said before Nordfrim sell at very low profit and they catch up with the supplement. When I damage mounts on Lighthouse album, Lighthouse Canada true the seller never charge me a cent for the replacement of the page , that's the kind of service you got when you deal locally.

Always read the fine print from any company when ordering or purchasing. Contact the company by phone to see if you can get this resolved. You can always purchase a supplement from a dealer at a stamp show or shop without a future commitment.

Sent a second request for information on what to do with this. I headed with 'SECOND REQUEST' in caps. That was yesterday, we are into the weekend now, I won't be hearing until next week.
My opinion of Nordfrim is deteriorating with every passing day. This is why they sell these albums so cheaply. You can do that when you expect buyers to buy supplements for the rest of their natural lives.

I doubt they are APS members, I could contact them and see if so.

Have you checked your credit card to see if they charged you for it?

I can't see them sending it out prior to getting paid.

No record on my card of any charge. The shipment was accompanied by a invoice showing over $100 due 'on account' .

I checked on the APS site, Nordfrim is not a dealer member. Somehow that doesn't surprise me.

I am not paying for these. Nor am I paying for postage to return something I had no reasonable expectation would be sent me. Either my contacts are being ignored or, more likely, they have no idea how to resolve this. I doubt they can force collection of an alleged debt from someone in another country. I charged the albums on my MasterCard but that # has been changed since due to an unconnected incident of fraudulent usage. so they cannot try to run through this on that. so here we are. Hopefully I will her from them next week, who knows?

No particular reason why Nordfrim should be an APS member, I should have thought.

My limited experience of using the "contact" button on the websites of stamp/accessories dealers is that the ignore rate is 100%. I wonder if they ever actually check them.

I expect that I will not receive any reply to my followups on this. In a few weeks I will receive a past due notice, followed by threats of legal action. I will continue to document that I am telling them I did not order these and offering to send them back if they pay postage. Eventually I will not hear anything more. I will of course never be able to place an order with Nordfrim again unless I cough up what they claim I owe them.

They are a good company to stay far, far away from. always remember if an offer looks too good to be true, it is.

My experience with them has been good, although I've bought non-current pages and supplies, rather than ongoing pages.

I sent them a third message today- all caps. Didn't know what else to do.

Later I was on their site and noted a logo to click on to live chat with someone so I did. I reached someone named 'Janka' and gave her my customer and invoice numbers and a brief description of the problem. She said someone would get back to me. It may have been my imagination but the exchange seemed hurried and like once she knew it was an issue with supplements she wanted to get off right away. They may be getting a ton of these complaints. I hope so.

Spend $ 20 send back the supplement with a letter, you already save more than $ 20 on the cost of the album compare to competitor. Can't believe make such a story for few $$$ postage. You have at least 1 transaction a week you are complaining about, last time was UK tracking, then before Canada tracking

It's a hobby.....not bread and butter

It's $20 and a trip to the post office that he shouldn't have ever had to bother with. $20 is not a lot of money, but it's not a trivial amount either. It's both time and money wasted that could be spent with/on stamps.

It is useful to know that automatic supplements are part of ordering albums from Nordfrim now. I suspect I am not the only one who was not aware of it and may not have noticed it in the description details.

Questions on tracking appear on this stamp forum and on other stamp forums as well. I find them informative, to understand what is the current state of international shipping/tracking. I don't find the OP's questions in this thread and or in other threads unreasonable.

area66, this is not the first time you have taken this tone with me. I have tried to just ignore it but I see no reason for you to be snarky toward me in a public forum. You don't like some of posts. AND....? I don't like some of yours either but I do not embarrass you like you do to me. Are you primarily English speaking? I find myself having to read what you post more than once to understand what you are saying. I have to wonder if that creates some of our difficulty?

Go to my page and look up my posts. I think what you will find that I have tried to post helpful and informative things on here. Yes I post about issues that crop up. I buy a lot on ebay, from suppliers in other countries and things arise. I am hardly alone in that. You do not get to decide what I post nor what others get to see.

As I said on our last such exchange, I find many of your posts interesting. I hope we can get along. However might I suggest that if there is a way to block my posts from your seeing them you do so? Perhaps that would be for the best. As you said, it is a hobby.

I was just try to make you see another way to think . You are spending so much negative energy on a $ 20 or so shipping cost . Even contact the APS of course European don't find too much value to be member of a US stamp association . And also keep in mind they don't speak all English in that company. The one in charge on English email is may be in vacation
