Yeah, I know.I think that may be an issue. Maybe we just need to give it a break.
Well at least I called attention to this matter. |

Misunderstandings happen, especially when there are language challenges. Folks can always use the messaging system to communicate with each other to clear up any problems without publically involving the community. And while there is not an 'ignore' feature for this forum it is pretty easy to simply not read posts if they bother us. Please, let's move on. Don |

Anything new with Nordfrim?
I have my own issues with them. I ordered 2 sets of pages marked as in stock and heard nothing.
I too contacted chat and got the same response as you did, will get back by email.
Got an email letting me know the 2 items I ordered are out of stock, and they have back ordered for me and will get to me soon.
So, they sell what is not in stock and then don't have the courtesy to let you know they have back ordered them.
Not a great way to run a business and they are not a lot cheaper than others I have bought from.
I have answered their email requesting an explanation and when soon is. From past experience, anything back ordered could be 3 months plus because if not in stock in Germasny, they will not do a special print unless they have more orders.
I may just cancel the order. |

Funny you posted on this today. I realized in looking at the invoice or the supplements that payment was due 5-30. Now three weeks past due and no, nothing at all from what is now six attempts to just discuss this. I thought about just mailing them back. Postage will run to a bit over $20.
I am sure some reading this thread think I am being a pain in the neck, enjoying the drama here. I am not. My reason for wanting to resolve this is that I want to purchase additional items from them and now fear if I do they will tack $100 onto my charge to cover these.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. I have to wonder if they are getting just too darned big? There is NO excuse for ignoring a customer with a concern who is trying to resolve an outstanding matter as I am. Someone there is really messing up. And I cannot get anyone to talk to me.
PS, it seems that I may have ordered the albums from a flyer enclosed with an issue of Linn's from last Fall. Has anyone ever seen Nordfrim adverts sent along with the monthly edition of Linn's? If so that could provide an opening for me to contact Amos Press and perhaps force their advertiser to respond on this. Just a thought. |

Well here is the final word in event anyone still is interested. I ran across a consumer review website 'TrustPilot' that had a number of customer reviews of Nordfirm including some negatives. I noted that the company apparently monitors that site and responds so I posted a brief account of my situation and that I'd never received a reply. Someone from Nordfrm replied on that site:
Thank you very much for your review. We highly appreciate your feedback.
We have looked into the matter and we are very sorry that it was not clearly evident that supplements automatically are sent when purchasing pre-printed albums. We have updated the article descriptions for pre-printed albums on our website as well as in our brochures to avoid similar misunderstandings.
'We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused in this matter. It is my understanding that the supplements have been credited on your account and we hereby confirm that you no longer are signed up to receive supplements. We hope you are satisfied with the solution.'
The reply stated they had revised the product listing for albums on their site to clarify that there is an obligation to receive annual supplements. So, if you buy an album from them you're signing up for a lifetime of supplements, I guess. Funny thing, the post I made on the review website did not mention my name or invoice number, I posted under a screen name. Probably they are getting a lot of these complaints and just write off the bill if not paid.
My adventure with them is concluded. If I wish to purchase additional Lighthouse albums it won't be from them. Sometimes what looks like a bargain comes with a price tag you don't see/notice at the time. Lesson learned. Thanks to all who provided input on here.

Updating this thread as it seems only fair that I make note of a positive outcome. I placed an order a few months back for some additional lighthouse items, got the items in about ten days, no word about owing for the supplements. I have since sent and received four orders. They did not run through any charge on my last order, instead placed me on an open account, I can make monthly payments, apparently. Couldn't ask for any more than that.
You cannot jump to conclusions after one bad experience. |
