Hi guys..have sent this oddity to BNAPS Precancel study group and to The Standard Canada Precancel Catalogue for their analysis..

Would like some feed back from you guys as to what you think it is...Look at the hook on the letter Q of the word Quebec and notice it does hook to the right (normal), but the exact same hook goes left..Strange.

Robert

You probably should have posted this one here first. This double-bottom Q precancel is known as Montreal Style 2, the one with a single hook on the Q is Style 4. Both are quite common, the one shown here has a CV of 0.25 CND in Unitrade.

The original image shown here has a stamp 'hidden' underneath the Edward VII precancel ... is it special also?

It's good you post it Robert, in the Unitrade catalogue, the image is very small.
