(100 years apart) Exchange Liverpool (Listed but new hammer code H15 ) Sc#89  Block of £5 Castles Unlisted Postmark The new style "entwined rope" ? steel counter hammers that were introduced around 1989. Possibly used on a softish parcel, the perimeters of the Postmark die, can be noted around the face of the punch. Tufton St. B.O. W1 Sc#1233  |

Set of 5 issued in 1971 "In 1971 , when Britain changed to decimal currency , the stamps were also due to change. With this in mind the training school prepared labels in the colours of the proposed stamps that would be used initially. These labels , produced in sheets of 200 , were distributed to post offices to familiarise all staff on the new stamps which would be coming into use. The format of the stamp was a coloured tablet with the value left in white in the centre."
