Seems like Great Britain do not include a date on their stamps anymore. Rod, Most British stamps still have the year of issue hidden in the design in microprint or even hidden in the phosphor tagging. But you do have to know where to look. |

I always assumed that the pound issues were use primarily for packages -- although I've definitely seen registration cancels on them. And it would make sense to register and insure parcels, especially when sent abroad. |
