One Penny (1d) 1879 Ridgeway Essay Plate Proof sheet. Plate Proofs Phillips Blenstock House Auction September 1983 Ex Harold Fisher Collection. Lot 945 Plate proof sheet (6 x 6) of the six designs with the vertical rows laid down separately in purple, green, ochre, blue, red, and black respectively, lower right stamp with plate flaw creased vertically between the centre rows and some soiling on reverse otherwise very fine. Estimate: $500 Starting Price: $380 1889 'The Wonderland Postage-Stamp Case' published by Emberlin and Son featuring folded stamp case with G.B. 1887 Jubilee issue ½d (both colours) to 1/- in place (part OG and generally fine), the two 1d pockets are empty, plus the accompanying booklet 'Eight or Nine Wise Words About Letter-Writing' by Lewis Carroll. All fine and containing in original envelope (some creasing). Very scarce |

Beautiful items outside my budget...... Millenium auctions 2019 Note how the Queen's bust (lower left) is possibly a correct imitation, but leans forward, unbalancing the (eventual) stamp.   |

Lovely presentation, Frank. Nothing wrong with a good hinge, unless you collect for money, rather than with passion.
Some of mine were hinged whilst the collector was having a Ham sandwich, hence severe tone spots. Can be removed along with the gum.
Unsure what a full set of Peace Omnibus CV is at present.
