I am not an expert, But I believe it to be A cancel from the mailman himself. it indicates that postman 64 has deliverd this postcard on the 16th of August 1894 between 14.15 and 15.15 in the afternoon The N after 3 1/4 means Nachmittag which means afternoon. Why was this cancel used? Other members might have an idea. Kind regards, Johan.

Bonjour area66,

Berlin Post Office 64. Receiver and exit Postmark.

I saw couple of these 64 and they all have this 1/4 to 1/4 of the hour. But others I saw hour to hour and even 1/2 and 3/4.

Best regards

Hornet
