Valid point GeoffHa ! You are absolutely correct - whoever using stock sheets/books would not need empty spaces for such rarities, and I guess the healthy approach would be to simply skip them. I just happen to be so configured in my funny head that I choose to reserve empty spaces and tags to indicate what is missing anyway. Same goes for Canada Unitrade #32 - what's the point to set of empty space for that I guess therein is a good explanation why these are so sought after - the laid paper variety received a major catalog number (for some bizarre reason), then some album publishers give it space on their pages - and it becomes a wet dream for many to fill that empty space. I admit I have made a space and tag for #32 as well - simply as a sane reminder that completion is impossible. In the extremely unlikely event of discovering such a rariety, I guess most of us would choose to sell it anyway in benefit for filling thousands of other empty spaces |

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example. I collect for enjoyment, not investment. APS Member #223433 Postmark Collectors Club Member #6333 Meter Stamp Society Member #1409 |

All of the above are a wonderful want list of stamps that I would guess many of us will never own. Would someone please win the lottery and fulfill all of our dreams? It would surely afford one a special place in the philatelic afterlife for doing so. |

The one I want most desperately is U.S. R17a, the 3-cent Playing Cards Imperforate. It has escalated so high in Scott, now at $40,000, that I cannot even come close to affording any example that I would want to own. Any visually reasonable example with faults will go for $10K+.
Sigh. |

I want one of these meters on cover from 1897. Only one has been discovered and that was in 1996. |

I'd really like to have a nice copy of the 1934 U.S. Old Faithful commem -- one of my favorite stamps-- with a perfectly readable nicely-centered sock-on-the-nose cancel from Utica, N.Y. on October 25, 1935. You've probably guessed by now that I was born there on that date! |

Hi all
I want on instrument issue of the 1898 U.S. revenue stamp with a "Chickasaw Steamship" cancel. I have a off instrument example.
I also want someday to obtain a U.S. Revenue Stamp R170p block of four or larger, either mint or used.
