Question Regarding Color Of GB Scott 98

I have these two copies of (what I think are) GB Scott 98. While not what I would think of as slate blue, stamps with similar shading are listed in Hipstamps, along with other stamps with different shading.

Is this a color variation that is not listed by Scott? Is it listed in SG?

SG only lists one color as far as I can find, "slate-blue". That's the top stamp color. The one below could be a minor shade but is more likely faded. The colors of litho/surface-printed Victorian and Edwardian stamps of GB are often fugitive with just water from soaking stamps removing a lot of color.
