This will be 7-21 through 7-23 in Crystal, MN. Nice show, I try to make it every few years and this year looks like one of those. Is anyone else on here going?

I have been looking for a list of show dealers, so far nothing. Is anyone on here associated with that show and if so will such a list be available before the show? Sort of helps in planning the focus of my buying.

Did you know there is a CALENDAR forum here on SCF:
https://goscf.com/f/26

If you create an event there, it will also show on the SCF Calendar of Events on the main page.

I counted 28 dealers; I understand there may be additions however. A decent number but I think this is fewer than past shows. I haven't read much about this but I'd bet many shows are experiencing a fall off in numbers of attending dealers. Many reasons, including the expense of attending vs the ease of selling on the internet, etc. I've been going to this show every few years since 2000. I think the numbers then were in the high 30's.

There are a couple dealers who are going to be there that will make it worthwhile for me to go. Not a big deal.

All depends on if I have a baseball tournament that weekend, if not then I'll be there since it's only a 20 minute drive or so.

Plan to spend most of Saturday there. It's a stop on our way to Upper Michigan. We are driving up Friday and staying at the Crowne Plaza- the show hotel- a short drive away.

Not to offend anyone who lives there, but the Interstate driving in the Twin Cities is not something I look forward to.

I wanted to let you know that Jay Bigalke, editor of The American Philatelist will be representing the APS at the Minnesota Stamp Expo. If you have not met Jay, he is a great young collector and he and the editorial team have been doing some great things with the journal. If you visit the show, please stop by and meet Jay and if you have a great story idea, please let him know.

We'd also love it if you brought someone who is not currently an APS member and we'll get them signed up on the spot - all credit to you. Enjoy the show!

I mentioned we are staying at the Crowne Plaza at 3131 Campus Drive. I have searched through the reservation confirmation and also the hotel web site and find no map of the area. Can anyone tell me what exit # that is off the Interstate? We will be driving north from Omaha. I guess they think everyone has devices these days. Thanks.

Hopefully, this Google map link works. Looks like it would be the Highway 55 exit off I-494 if you're coming from the south or the Rockford Road exit if you're coming from the north.

I don't look forward to it either and I do it practically every day.

Minnesotans have a weird way of driving. And they can't merge.

I will be at the expo on Friday and Saturday. I will likely be hanging out or filling in at the Northern Philatelic Library table on either day.

Thanks for the map link.

What really spooks me about driving up there is the merge thing. Smauggie is right, a very high percentage will not allow you to merge. It is really bad when entering or exiting, you are sharing a lane with others doing both. I have a close call every time I am there. I have missed exits because some doofus won't let me merge into the exit lane. It's awful.

I decided to stay at the Crowne Plaza because once we are there I can drive over city streets to get to the show.
