I haven't posted any to this thread for a while. Here is an Australian Scott 60 with a very prominent Obliterator 214. I don't have a resource for identifying why this would be on my Aussie stamp. Can someone explain how/why this would happen? Thanks in advance. |

Partime, Don't understand the question.
The "killer" portion of a duplex hammer. (type 4a) Suggestion. 6 bar 214 Toowoomba then Blandford NSW
Birregurra Victoria. (R) Nope...this is type 2A
Not my specialty area, treat with caution.

You answered my question. (I was trying to figure out the location ... Toowomba, etc.) Thanks. |

The 214 cancellation is neither Toowoomba or Blandford. Neither office received a barred numeral type device.
I's day it's Birregurra, Victoria. |

Quote: Birregurra, Victoria Well, I think I can guarantee Victoria State. Everything in this group of 200+ were Victoria. Thanks for the information. |

I's day it's Birregurra, Victoria. I's day ? Bobby, could not find any representative Pmk on the web, one would presume quite scarce? There was a "214" in Tasmania, not sure what type. If you have a scan of the 214 duplex, would be delighted to see it. |

Quote: Here's the same Scott number 60, ACSC 65. I can't quite place the electro or variety in my 2014 ACSC. Has anyone seen this type (white flaw behind kangaroo)? It is close to 65(7)k, but may be an earlier state? Opinion: I think you're right, not strong enough for me to place as a "flaw" but certainly different from the majority of my holdings. Details KGV Sideface, Sc#60 (provided large multiple crown over A) bluish green Perf 14 comb Electros 4,5,6,7. Kangaroo has large blob over eye and part of ear. Shading lines back of Kangaroo compromised (and retouched later) (Left pane) Look for : Wmk inverted $40 Wmk sideways $40,000 For interest Sc#60A "thin half at right" CV $120 Yellowish Green Standard Sc#60 halfpenny green shewing shading lines back of Kangaroo. Pale dull green. |

Quote: For interest: Sc#60A "thin half at right" I looked through all my stamps, specifically looking for this item ... nothing. That's a tough one to find. Thanks for posting the example. |

That is a cracker. May I have permission to save as a record, please.? Also, looks like it may be a KL 56 (6) b (Adams, Bell, Pope) |

Quote: May I have permission to save as a record, please.? Absolutely Rod. Here is a better closeup of the area that you noticed. Quote: Also, looks like it may be a KL 56 (6) b (Adams, Bell, Pope) Boy, I really need to get some better literature to help spot these things. |
