Right now I am using the huge Minkus Supreme Albums and they are big and heavy for an old guy to use.
Has anyone tried the Minkus Worldwide album from Amos or even the generic Minkus albums? They are only 2.5 inch instead of 4 inches and the small worldwide is only $4.99.
I find the second binder you listed, the 2.5" maroon binder, very large and clunky, heavy, difficult to pick up, and unpleasant to use. That would make it not much different from the regular Minkus Supreme binders you already use. The other binder will be much lighter but it's a vinyl album which means it's very likely that the mounting hinge inside the covers is make of vinyl. This sort of binder has proven to be very weak and does not hold up well over time. I'd be very reluctant to rely on binders like that to hold my wonderful stamp album pages securely.
Alternatives include buying used Minkus binders, but these are few and far between. Or, perhaps even better, consider three-hole punching your Minkus pages so they can be put into the Scott 3-hole binders, either the larger one or the one I like much more, the smaller (narrower) three-hole binder. Unfortunately, these will cost a good deal more (maybe $35 each) than either of the other binders. In the long run, however, they will hold up much better and be far easier to use.
