Good day everyone. I am helping my father find a new stamps' supplier in the US (he doesn't speak english). He finds his current one not to be very reliable.
· Missing stamps sets · Missing slots on the album pages templates · Mismatched stamps set order and album page slots order,etc..
He would like to find an online US store were he could ideally buy both the album pages and the stamps together. My father says there are European shops that do that but he thinks they are not very thorough with their collections.
So gentlemen/ladies, would you point me to some good US stamps suppliers? Thanks in advance!

Area66. Ya, you are correct. I got very good replies regarding the problem about mismatching stamps sets and pages. That was understood. But my task really is to find US stamps suppliers that sell both stamps and album pages or year books. To that regard, I was suggested two stores only. The Nordfrim site only has the year 2016, and the USPS ebay store I think has none... So I still haven't been able to find what I am looking for. That is why I ask again, in the hope that different people will read it this time and they know some other shops I can look at. I am sure everybody buys their things somewhere. I am totally ignorant about "collecting stamps", but don't people buy the stamps and place them on an album page and then make a year book? From who do they buy all these? There must be many right? who are the good ones? I didn't expect my question would be a difficult one to address : / |

Quote: I didn't expect my question would be a difficult one to address It could be that we don't understand what your father is looking for. Is he looking for a new issues service? Wants to buy an album page and the stamps for that page? |

It's clear that you "are totally ignorant about collecting stamps". But,if you keep on placing the wrong question, you won't get the answer that you're looking for. I would suggest your father to get a US Scott catalog and, then, go to the USPS or to e-bay and see if he can find the stamps he's looking for. Another possibility, is to ask this question on a Spanish speaking fòrum. So,he can explain himself, and get an answer. |

Sorry gentlemen, I really didn't mean to sound impolite. I just didn't know how else I could ask the same question for a third time. I thought I was asking a question analog to (to use an example about computers): I need to buy a good computer to play games, what online stores do you trust and recommend me to look at so I can buy both computer and a good screen?. I still don't know exactly how is my question incorrect but to that extend is where my ignorance about stamps gets : / So thanks Redwoodrandy for reading between lines and come back with a list of recommendations I can look at. Thanks everybody else for the patience. Kind regards

Really, this is not the place to ask about computers, but instead of online, you should be going to a small local computer shop that's been around for years. They can build to your requirements. They'll probably also have used refurbished systems for sale. If your father finds problems in buying stamps and supplies online, I guarantee you will also find problems with buying computers online unless you are aware of the exact specifications you need. I give this answer with all sincerity and based on my experiences with buying computers. Please, again, from this point forward, just stamps questions or comments.

I sometimes think those of us who've been at this for decades forget how intimidating/confusing a lot of this stuff is to a newcomer. He's been given good links and advice, and I wish him well in his search for answers. |
