Hi Everyone
I recently came across two vignettes of Scott 1 & 2 without any monetary and us postal information printed on them. I did find out they were used previously on souvineer cards in 1875 and 1947. But these have B. E. & P. printed in tiny letters at the bottom below the frame, couldn't capture the BEP with my camera but I have attached photos of the two stamp front and back. I would appreciate any info.

Thanks,
Sharons25

Hi

Your stamps probably came from this card.

In the '70s and '80s, when the USPS was putting out souvenir cards many used stamp designs minus the denomination, including the Zepps and the $1 Trans-Mississippi. Collectors should be wary of cut-down "proofs".

This is the 1947 Card. The stamps are not in color.

Those were Artcraft's reproductions of the stamps, not made with the original BEP plates.

I made an interesting discovery about these reprints that I posted recently on our sister forum, CCF: http://goccf.com/t/302877#2931003
