Croatia - Kostelic - Withdrawn ?

The attached stamps were apparently issued in 2011 but, as much as I have heard but withdrawn after two days due to a missing sponsor logo.

Not the stamps were the problem but the ornamental coupons surrounding the stamps.

Can anyone shed light on whether this is true or has more accurate information ?

you are partially correct. the sheetlets (9 stamps + vignette) were withdrawn at the request of the Croatian Ski Federation due to copyright infringement.
The problem lies in the vignette (the left piece in your pair pictured above). His black headband should have a yellow logo on it, but was removed for this usage.
The stamp itself is still readily available, at minimal cost, but the sheetlets carry a large premium.

Additional question: Would you have any idea as to the complexion of the yellow logo.

the logo is for Raiffeisen Bank, a large Austrian bank with presence throughout the Balkans.
