"NIAGARA PARK 7 AP 31 NSW" postmark. The PO was open from July 1927 to June 1931. The Premier Postal database states "no datestamps recorded during this first opening", making this an exciting find, and probably unique.

The office was reopened in 1953 and closed permanently in 1988

That's a totally unnecessary post in a public forum, and hugely inappropriate. You are aware of the circumstances, as you are aware that the item was sent last week by Registered Post. I'm as disappointed as you are that it hasn't yet arrived, but posting here? Really?

I've lodged a complaint with Australia Post (as I advised I would). I will keep you informed of progress
