Green One Cent Washington With Green Line?

Hi guys,
I was going through some postcards for my recently widowed mother in law and read about the red line Washington one cent stamp. I found a green one. Was there a green one? Am I seeing things? Thanks, Ted

The green line is and 'straight edge' is very common, stamps with straight edge are typically from the outer edge of a pane (or sometimes from booklet panes). The image below illustrates the positions of 'straight edge' stamps. The sellers on ebay who are offering them as something 'rare' are either clueless or shysters.

Funny, I was going to post a similar question (recently widowed step-mother though). Here's my specimen. Basically she want to sell stuff in bulk, but wanted us to pull out anything that might be worth a little extra.

ebay hucksters are pushing the green/red line premium hard.

With negligible effect, fortunately. I find only two "sold" listings, for $0.99 and $1.99. Inquiries here likely are trolls.

Thanks, that helps a lot. For whatever reason, forums seem to be the only place to get useful info. Commercial websites are big on promo, but seem to deliberately avoid educating folks too much.

My stamps will go into the bulk pile with lots of other stuff, unless of course someone wants to send me that $500!
