Of course, APS can expertize Chinese stamps.

But, could you give me alternatives experts worldwide? (for Chinese stamps)
I ask you this, because I am located in Bulgaria and it may be difficult for me to ship to APS.
thank you

No, it is for my future stamps !
Because I saw that 99,99% of the Chinese stamps are sold on the web without any certificate of authenticity.
And as we know that Chinese people are the biggest counterfeiters in the world....

You will find a few suggestions on this website:

Go to the website and use the search function for China.

So, China going back to the Dragon issues? Modern only? Everything?

There are plenty of existing fakes for the older issues, and they are covered in the available literature. So you might want to start a library. Consider joining CSS per perf12's link.

Most of the fakery in recent times is of modern stamps with major emphasis on errors and expensive stamps. They're easier to produce with typical relatively modern printing equipment. Again, literature and online sources are your resource.

No, I am looking for lists of experts in Chinese philately worldwide (including China) to whom I can give Chinese stamps for receiving (or not, if fakes) certificates of authenticity (like APS is doing).

China Stamp Society is still the place to begin to locate China stamps experts in other parts of the world. They likely will have members from China and Taiwan who also could help you find experts in Europe.

Shipping within Europe; the EU; is probably easier than shipping to China.

A few authorities are well-known for its expertise in China philately. They all have stamp expertising services. However, they are all based on western countries. As far as I know, there is no well accepted expertising services located in China. However, a big auction firm can also tell you a stamp is genuine or not even they do not issue any certificates.

1. BPA (British Philatelic Association)
2. CSS (China Stamp Society)
3. RPSL (The Royal philatelic society London).

If you just want to know if the stamp is genuine or not, just post your high resolution scan here. 99% of the chance you will get the answer. Most of the time, a counterfeit can be easily identified by an experienced collector or dealer.

If you want to sell your stamp with a cert so that they can be sold at a higher price, then you need spend some money to get the cert. And an alternative option is to send it to a big auction firm. Usually you will pocket more money even they will take 20%-25% of the realized price before you receive the money, since they can sell the stamps at a higher price than you can.

No, for some of my stamps I would like to have an official certificate of authenticity delivered by a philatelic expert (such as APS)
If he is based in China, it is easyer for me.
Of course, I will pay the expert.

priatel,

As I mentioned, people want to get a cert for two purposes:

1. To make sure that it is genuine to get a peace of mind. If you are buying the stamps, usually a big auction firm is a very reliable source. You are entitled to get a cert if you question the genuineness of any stamp you win from the auction firm. If it proved to be counterfeit, the auction firm will allow you to return it (depending on their terms and conditions).
2. To assure a potential buyer that it is genuine.

If your purpose is 1, you can just post the scan of your image here. We can help you first. If not sure, I can also ask my friends in big auction firms to help. Of course, for some items, we need to see the real stamp to make a call. But most of the time, we should be able to get an answer.

If your purpose is 2, then just consider the 3 services I mentioned. BPA is the most well-accepted service and its China department is led by Jefferey Schneider from Interasia and joined by Neill Granger from SPINK , which are considered as the ultimate authorities in China stamp community by many people.

I attached the link of BPA, and their price table for your reference.

@perf12
If I cannot find chinese-based philatelic expert, then I will use the solutions given by TangStamps
@Tang Stamps
It concerns the point 2- To assure a potential buyer that it is genuine.
I will check the conditions of BPA.

I thought that all big philatelic associations had a representation (or at least a correspondant) in China for Chinese stamps.
