Hi, my name is Geoff and I am from the US. A number of years ago I helped to settle my mother's estate and one of the things that came to me as a result was a shoe box full of stamps. This came as little surprise to me because my grandfather had once been a partner in the Bryant-Pollard Stamp Company of Proctorsville, VT. The bulk of his inventory was liquidated in the late 60s after he had past away, but I have reason to believe that what I acquired through my mother was the remnants of collections of my grandfather's brother and sister.
For various reasons I am not planning on keeping or expanding this collection, but I do find them very interesting and I have been engaged in inventorying and to the best of my ability cataloging them in order to be able to make an informed decision as to the best way to find a new home or homes for them.
No great surprise, I do have questions and it is my hope that I will be able to learn from those of you who are so generous and willing to share their time and expertise.
