New member from North Carolina, thanks for letting me join the forum. I'm not new to stamp collecting, been collecting for 55 years or so. Ever since I kicked a shoebox full of foreign stamps in a church parking lot about 1960-61. We even looked for the owner (or so we thought) who's name appeared on several post cards in the box. Since then I've been interested in stamps, I have a cumulation of collection both foreign and domestic. So nows the time to start getting serious.

Bear with some of my less intelligent questions and forgive some goofy responses as I come up to speed with the correct collecting jargon.

Thanks for having me.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll most likely have tons of questions as I transition from just collecting to organizing and trying to categorize.

Welcome fellow Tarheel.
I'm in the western NC mountains -- about 400 miles from you, as the crow flies

I was there in the late mid to 70's..spent some time in Elizabeth City, Aydlett, then down to Southern Shores. I always called Coinjock, Sligo, and Aydlett the tri-cities.

Would have been interesting to have seen Moyock back in the 70's. The dog track is finally being developed into a sub division. 1000 or more new homes being built in the next few years. We're looking to more down toward Roper.
