Hello all
Regarding left stamp - is this some kind of overprint, or just strange cancellation?
Right stamp - were there flat perforation end of sheet stamps back there, or did someone cut off the end? From the corner perf I'd say it was cut.
I welcome any input.
Rob

Left stamp is a cancellation. There are some examples in this forum.

Right stamp is a cut edge, probably when someone cut it from the envelope before soaking off.

Keep looking ... there are quite a few varieties out there.

The left stamp appears to have a line thru the felt center from the top, left side of the crown cross down at least to top of KGV's head.

Thanks for the input. My suspicious mind would rather believe that someone cut it to make the buyer think it's from a stamps plate bottom.
As for the line - my bad: the stamps were wavy so I put them in a stock book page so the line is the glassine.

Further to Partime's call,
a part postmark, I believe (roller cancel) needs to be confirmed,
often used on Australian newspaper wrappers.

Thanks, Rod, I was hoping to satisfy my curiosity about that cancellation.
