Two-centavo vermilion stamps overprinted with centavo abbreviated and with year date 1901 1902 or 1904 were printed in Managua to fulfill a dealer order because the stamps ordered were depleted.

Inverted and double and probably triple overprints exist.

Cancels or postmarks on these stamps are false.

They are Volcan San Cristóbal 1745 meters, Volcan Pilas 983 meters, Volcan Telica 1060 meters, Volcan Cerro Negro 450 meters, and Volcan Momotombo 1258 meters.

This plate proof corner block of the 5-centavo black stamp was struck in green in 1924 to check the condition of the plate.

New Zealand the Sterling values of this stamp - Tongariri National Park - have been posted before. For completeness, here is the corresponding 30c decimal value, issued on 10 July 1967.

And, for good measure, here is another NZ volcano - This time Mt Egmont in Egmont National park, issued 1 December 1971. As for the stated value, I only wish!
