Wow it has been a long time adding a photo to this site and will a tablet to boot. In any event one of my favorite ones I own. I think the cancel is among my best.

Ok it is kind of upside down. Sorry about that. First time trying to do everything with a tablet. But it's cool having a date stamp from 1870. I'm not into revenues though I have a couple hundred or more.

mkfarm, I like your stamp also.

You might (if you are into history) look for the very cheap revenue stamps dated either 14 or 15 April 1865!

The real trick is to find one with that date used on a bill from the boarding house where Lincoln was moved to after he was shot.

State Revs, you got it, nice cancel on the 14 April one, but of course both are good.

How about the Ford Theater, would have ticket actually used by Lincoln exist today?

And Lincoln's hat too. I'm sure the one I saw in the Smithsonian was a fake and the real one is on ebay.
