Inhereted Collection. Any Advice?

Hi all,
I'm new to this site and no nothing about stamps. I was given these stamps by my father back in the early 80's. He received them when his father passed. I'm now making room for my first child and selling off everything in my closet on ebay to make room and some extra cash. there appears to be probably 1000+ stamps from the early 1900's to the late 70's. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if there is any value here so I'm debating on whether to attempt to sell off 1 at a time on ebay or just list the entire box and hope to get a few dollars. there are many different stamps of different denominations and several same stamps in varying colors. I can provide more pics if anyone would be interested in helping out more. Thank you

There is a topic on the forum called "Have You inherited Some Stamps? Start Here." You may want to try there. What I see are mostly relatively modern stamps and not worth more than a few pennies. But you may have some stamps buried in those envelopes worth something.

In my opinion the value is that these are part of your family heritage. Even if no one in the family is currently interested, this may change as they get older. Once you sell them off for the small amount you might get ($10-$15?), you will never be able to get back the stamps your father accumulated.

I agree with all of the above, but specifically, if you try to sell them individually on ebay you will have very disappointing results.

My first thought is I want to go through these and preserve them better so they don't get damaged any more. From what I see you have a lot of common stamps that might be interesting to a beginner or someone needing to fill some holes. If your really wanting to sell them you might get a better price selling them as a kilo. Not sure how much you have but that may be an option. There are people who like sorting through kilos. Some times they go cheap and sometimes the bidding goes crazy.
