I found this underinking only occurs on J97 on plate numbers 37876 and 37877. The plate block on right of each scan is inked correctly and one on the left isn't. I checked all other denominations where those two plate numbers were used.

The ones on the right look like the underinked ones to me. Educate me on this, please.

The one on the right isn't underinked, but it is a different color ink. This new color only occurs on plate 37876 and 37877 on J97 and J100. I've checked these plates on all other denominations.

On the rubber plate there is a great variation on them. From 1959 to 1986 many different ones were produced with differences in the font and placement of the numbers over 'CENTS.'

There is a different color variation which occurs on the plate pair 34283/35282. Please have a look at this post: https://goscf.com/t/52629
