Hello Everyone,
So I
inherited a stamp collection back in 1996 from my mother who got it from my grandmother in 1985. My grandparents both collected. Its not huge maybe 5 international scott binders, some more complete then other and also some lose stamps. It been in a safe place and always I always planned to keep them for the sentimental value and pass them along to my children. So lately my mother started saying that she believes my grandparents spent a good deal of money on some stamps and that I should have them insured. So I began to look up some places to get these appraised. The first place I called asked me to drop them off, I wasn't really comfortable with leaving them someplace for that, is that common practice?
I will try to attach a few pictures Thank You
