I've
inherited a "Scott National Postage Stamp Album" that leaves off with 1970 stamps. After checking some of the stamps near the end of the "Postage" section, I found some illustrations with incorrect Scott numbers.
For example, the #1406 and the picture shown in the album indicates it to be a Christmas stamp. #1406 is a "Woman Suffrage" 50th anniversary stamp.
The Christmas stamp is actually 1414.
I emailed Scott's customer service and asked if they had an errata sheet showing changes that were made in supplements to the original album. Their answer was that they corrected mistakes in subsequent supplements but they didn't keep a record of what was corrected. That wasn't much help.
I've uploaded an image from the album.
What suggestions can anyone offer to correct this situation?
