Rogdcam- I may bid on a couple of your lots. Two things I notice about the on-iine catalog is that many of the photographs seem out of focus (on line at least), and the title of lot 456 for example is listed as *o whereas it might have been better listed as **/*/o as Regency used to do.

I prefer to buy never hinged or mostly never hinged collections/accumulations rather than unused hinged, so Rasdale's listings seem unspecific in that respect. They often use the term "mint" in the text but it is unclear whether they mean MNH or unused hinged.

ddaan - I completely agree on both the photos and the descriptions. For a buyer however I have found that Rasdales tends to under describe the lots which contributes to happy buyers and repeat customers. On the flip side I would like to get more monies out of my lots which would definitely happen with nice photosvand more detail. You never know though. Siegel auctioned a Canada collection of mine not long ago and I was appalled at the low realization. Somebody got themselves a smoking deal!

Thanks Rogdcam, I submitted my registration information to Rasdale and am unable to bid yet - I imagine they need to look at my application in this morning. I'll give them a call this week if I still can't bid on line - knowing the bidding deadline is Friday.

It's surprising to heat that Regency-Superior is gone. Really? I think I bought something from them few years ago. No sign of closing soon.

It really depends what you want to buy. I think if you want to buy Asia, you need to buy from Hong Kong auctions houses.

Rogdcam -- I didn't win lot 175 or lot 456, but I definitely made the winner outbid me.
