These stamps have been faked so often there are more fakes than real ones in existance. You really need to post a much better picture, like a high definition scan

Stamps were excessively forged in the first decades after they appeared. Stamp dealers reprinted them to sell in packets for space fillers. Be careful!

The stamp comes in a variety of shades, yours looks like a 1890 David Cohn second printing.

The forgery indications are in Italics. It does not mean it is not a reprint.

Dear Mr Perf.12

First I must thank you about your effort and advise .
Second plz be noted that your attached stamp picture is not like mine , ur looks like forged stamp yes and has 15 perf. while mine has 13 perf. or 13.25 as cataloque . plus you can see in urs there is no crosses on the 2 flags while mine has .

David Cohn stamps of the second printing were sold both imperf and perforated . The designs of the stamp tells me D. Cohn ,it is not unusual for them to have 11.5 perfs added later . The other 11.5 would be J.B.Moens 1878-89 dull finish perf. 11.5 ,yours doesn't look like that ,it has much finer detail.

hello; First of all I doubt that the post I made showed a forged stamp.
It was from the book (Antichi Stati Italiani Originali e falsi by
Antonelllo Cerruti And Luigi Guido). The crosses in the flag are not always perfectly done. The Scott cat. says perf 13 but this is an error.
Plus in your stamp; the frame lines are missing except for the bottom line which is very thin and weak;nothing like in the original...
