It is obvious that the seller planted a bidder to drive up the price..Not ethical, yes...but it works...Should sell my mint one, maybe I can get $10,000.00...haha |

I disagree. I think it is highly unlikely that this seller used a shill. He sells a large number of stamps and and starts them cheap. He works on volume. I would suggest that once it got to 5 times catalogue value any true shill would have quit for fear of being stuck with the stamp. He is a buyer of collections and not individual stamps. |

wtcrowe...One way to prove it is watch and see if he out bids the highest bidder..If he does, then maybe he is not a shrill..BUT if he bids no more then the owner told him to back off cause he got what he wanted....agreed

I agree with wtcrowe, it must have something to do with the cancel although I can't see what it could be. Only a true collector would be stupid enough to pay that much. |

No Robert, this seller uses no shill bidder. The 3 seconds is because they both have entered high bids, the system then generated the bids against each other at a few seconds apart. Don |

I understand Don, then I guess each bidder is entering their bids 3 seconds apart...haha

Noooo Say I entered a bid of $100 yesterday but the highest bid has been only $25.00, it would show me as the high bidder at 25.00. But you come in today and put $95. I am pretty sure that the system does NOT just jump to $96... instead it shows every incremental bids ($1 increment) a few seconds apart. Don |

I cannot see anything, including the cancel, that would give this stamp a value beyond $20. The image is not very good. Here it is in case it goes away soon. |
