Good Morning! Today I need help to determine if a airmail surcharge written/stamped over the indicium is genuine? All of the others I have seen have been red and to the left, but this is black and over. Please weigh in let me know fake or genuine.

Appears to be genuine. It was issued primarily for use to and from members of the armed forces. The 5 cent rate became effective Oct 1, 1946.
There are 10 surcharge varieties.
