Hi family, looking for opinions on this R218 with fancy cancel.

What is your opinion?

Do you have any background information you can share on this cancel.

Does any one of a block of four or larger you could show the family?

Hi, I was showing a fishing buddy of mine, she says it reminds her of a similar looking symbol on the old Chesterfield smokes.

I do not recall this at all, does anyone out there smoke these Chesterfields? Is there a similar looking symbol?

Here's a page of Chesterfield packages showing the logo.

Hi littleriverphil, the Chesterfield symbol does not look similar to me to the cancel on the stamp in question.

Perhaps my friend had been smoking to much.

Perhaps you forgot to clarify what she was actually smoking?

I was referring to something that possibly was not tobacco, explaining why the design was not close to what she was remembering (or reefering as the case may be)...
