hi again,
can someone please help with this overwrite? what does it stand for? On MHS is clear. the letters underneath are a mystery to me.

These are stamps used by government employees, Official stamps. the overprint "On H M S" stand for On His/her Majesty's Service.

Quite possibly the department of the government that used the stamp.

It is simply the date 10 AP. 94 of the Smith type A23Ad combined date stamp and obliterator.

Y denotes the specific time of dispatch.
