This stamp of Saxony, 1851, Scott 2.

Can it be fake? I know that Saxony Scott 1 was forged a lot.

How would you evaluate this stamp quality, only based on the scan? Scott claims that a used one in good condition is worth close to 100$. Not trying to sell - just would be nice to have something valuable in my collection.

Should I remove the paper on its back?

According to this site:
http://stampworld.ca/Website/german-states/saxony/
It might be forged, and on the other hand, they mentioned that the stamp had 24 editions, which might have contributed to differences between genuine stamps.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

I would certainly try to clean this thing up - carefully. It may really start looking better. And is there a way you can post scans rather than bad out of focus pictures?

I hope this picture is more focused.
For comparison, I added one of the traumatized stamps that were in this kiloware. And people actually sell them as stamps.

if you try to look at a possible "embossment", the white spaces could be a bit higher than the green spaces, then it would be first edition (type I), Michel 2I. Color is impossible to tell for early German stamps over the internet. Perhaps you make a photo in dark oblique light for the embossment. but from the ink usage I would say it is a type II. Here is a type I:
